About Everyday Jerusalem

Here is Jerusalem as it really is – not romanticized, not touristy, and not exclusively spiritual. True, all of Jerusalem is steeped in holiness, which is palpable on Sabbath and holidays, and in some sacred sites all the time, but which recedes into the background on regular weekdays.

This is the Jerusalem of people like me who live here and love the city, flaws and all, with its patchwork of brand-new, ancient, and just plain old, forever a work in progress.
